The terrace is wonderful, the short distance to taksim square and istiklal cadesi makes Bianco a perfect place to stay. Friends living in Istanbul said that at the moment the district is decried as shabby and dangerous, but that it will make it's way to a place-to-be in the near future. But as Bianco is situated at the very beginning of the district and very close to taksim, we didn't feel uncomfortable at any moment.
There were no dishes in the apartment. 5 glasses, some knifes, forks, spoons and saucepans, but no coffee cups and plates. Strange. But perhaps the owner suppose that dishes aren't necessary as there are plenty of possibilities to have a meal, dinner, breakfast etc. nearby and you don't need to prepare something at home?

We are delighted by our stay in Bianco Residence. The people from the hotel are very kind and very helpful to find what you need in Istanbul. The Residence has been recently completly renovated and is very clean and very nice. The appartment, in duplex, makes it possible to stay with 4 people: parents on the top, kids downstars on a sofa. Wifi is free in each room and is working very well Then you can go to taksim place very easily and there is also a short circuit to Istikal Street. So we highly recommend this hotel for a stay with 2 young kids.

Great location close to shops, nightlife and public transportation. Very clean and affordable accommodations. Hosts were very welcoming and accommodating, and even offered additional services like airport transport and laundry. Overall a great base for exploring the city.
Area was a bit dodgy and rundown, and not for everyone. the apartment lacked local information like a city map and location of nearby facilities.

Owner and staff were extremely nice and accommodating. Apartment was recently renovated, spacious and well equipped; could sleep two couples or a family with kids easily; two bathrooms--all for less than the price of a hotel room in Taksim. Free WiFi. Security seems very good. I really like the location, close to Taksim and Beyoglu but in a real neighborhood--outside of the tourist culture.
It's not really a hotel but an apartment. There wasn't daily maid service, and service was otherwise friendly but haphazard. Decor and furnishing could have been more aesthetically pleasing. Bathrooms in downstairs apartment had a strong sewer smell; however, I don't know if there's any remedy for this in an older building. Getting to Istiklal requires crossing busy Tarlebasi Street, but there's a pedestrian crossing with light a few blocks down. Breakfast wasn't worth five euros, but it was nice to have it delivered the first morning. Some might find the neighborhood a bit run down (it's in transition), but it feels like a real place.

Great location, just next to taksim square. The apartment was spacious, clean & just perfect for 4 people we travell. Staff is very helpfull! Despite that there are some really nasty buildings in the area - the Bianco Residance is in newly renovated one - that feels clean and safe.
Only thing I did not like is that when our turkish friend was seeing us off to the residence and hanging out with us - immediately we got a notice from staff - that we shodu pay for extra person sleeping onsite (even though the person was just visting)....

The bed and linens were comfortable and the towels were soft. The room had a nice view of the city and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The location was convenient for exploring the city and the breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options.
The room was smaller than we expected and the bathroom was outdated with a weak shower. The street noise outside was quite loud late into the night, making it hard to sleep.
